My Weird Pup

This is what my puppy finds comfortable after a long day of swimming in the sun...

I love my little weirdo.

Roses and Lies

Ahhhhhh, I'm such a sucker for reality TV. I have never watched an entire season of a Bachelor or Bachelorette, but I've been suckered into it this season. Thanks to DVR and online episodes. I watched the last two episodes of the last bachelor and fell IN LOVE with Jillian. She seems like a sweety and down to earth, and as normal as you can get for TV personalities. Anywho... its DRIVING me nutz that she is keeping Wes around. UGHHHH! He's not even that good of a singer, seriously. Why is no one questioning that he is THAT old and hasn't made it yet and is using this show as a platform. I can't believe even ABC is allowing it to continue, it makes them look like idiots. But he looks like a lying asshole, and if he's trying to sell his music to women, good luck, everyone loves a lying asshole. UGH! She is so dumb. I'm not saying I wouldn't fall for a guy singing to me, cuz I so would. But that same tired song over and over again is getting to be a little much, especially when he sings off key every time he goes to sing it. I'm over it.

Hahahaha, okay I'm done bitching about TV, and try to focus on important things again.

Iiiiii found god!

So I'm on my way home from the Fray concert, drunk as well. I'm not the biggest fan. But I have been converted. They are so amazing live. Tobe able to sound as good as or better than ur recordings is a huge feat. I must respect that. Everyone should respect that. And they played Heartless for me. There has been some discrepency over this son. Chris Allen did not sing this version first, in fact he ripped it from the Fray for his performance. Don't get me wrong I hated Adam and loved Chris, but what people don't realize is that they don't make up their own versions of songs, they rip them fron other people. Chris just got smart and was like hey David Cook did it and won, I should. So there. That's my two cents. I like to give credit where credit is due. The Fray put on an amazing show.

What Is Death But A Passage To Life

I am sitting here in shock. In the middle of me making dinner at my parent's, my mother comes into the kitchen and tells me that Farrah Fawcett died. Very sad, but we all saw it coming, hoped and prayed for the best but she was very sick. Then my little sister comes out of nowhere and is like MICHAEL JACKSON DIED?! WHAT? I freaked as was like WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?! She goes I don't know I just got a text. And low and behold it was true. The King of Pop has died today at age 50. This is the only point where I will address this, I don't care what your feelings are on his personal life, whether or not you believe he molested children, whether or not you thought he treated his children oddly, whether or not you agreed with his skin bleaching or plastic surgery, you better DAMN have respect. This man did so much for popular music, and music just in general he deserves to be respected. From what he did in the Jackson 5, to his solo career, to his helping along other aspiring artists, he did so much. Pure genius. Death in itself deserves to be respected. He barely lived his life. This is so utterly sad. He gave us countless amounts of amazing songs. He gave us the moonwalk. At age 4, I wore a button of his and proclaimed that I would marry him. At age 4 1/2 I went to my first concert ever, Michael Jackson's Bad Tour. I even remember what I wore, my favorite blue cardigan. I am truly sad for such a loss to this world. Don't act like when you hear a Michael Jackson tune that you don't start tappin your toes or singing along. I have immediately changed my music to a tribute to the King of Pop, 8 amazing tracks. I just wish the player would let me do more, but then I'd be here for hours because he has so many amazing songs. Its just so hard to take in. I really loved him. It was the first time I became obsessed with something. I know basically every lyric to every song. I hated to hear the negativity, regardless of my own speculations. He was an icon, and I'm sad to say I think he led to his own demise. I wish he knew how loved he was and how I wish he would have just been true to himself and loved himself, because there were millions who did.

Objects in the Rearview Mirror...

A lovely little message...

We're All Mad Here

I know this isn't breaking news, and I'm quite ashamed of myself that I didn't find the pictures sooner, but here's a few looks from the up and coming remake of Alice in Wonderland by the genius that is Tim Burton. It has a great cast and a few pictures have been released, but the best part is that Johnny Depp has been cast as the Mad Hatter. My love for him just grows deeper! Enjoy.

Off with her head.

Tuesday's Tunes

Here we go, for your musical pleasure we have....

1. The Black Ghosts, Full Moon

This is to satisfy my Twilight cravings. Great song, pretty chill. Enjoy!

2. Matt and Kim, Good Ol' Fashion Nightmare

This song just simply makes me happy. Something about the simple piano note being plunked in a carefree manner just makes me happy! Love LOVE it!

3. The Stars, Your Ex-Lover is Dead

Just recently got into them, this is a good tune. I like how its the guy singing and then the chick comes in.

4. Enur ft. Nastaja, Calabria
This song is purely for my amusement. My little brother started singing it, then all of a sudden we couldn't get it out of our heads and no one knew the song and we all knew exactly what it was. It took me a good hour to find out who sang this damn song, so we could put it on a cd for pool time! How I found it- it was played on the tv show Royal Pains and I searched songs from Royal Pains... I'm lame. Its catchy so watch out you'll be singing the saxophone part for hours if you leave it on too long!

5. Kid Cudi, Kanya West, Common, and the Lovely Lady Gaga; Pokerface (remix)

LOVE LOVE. So amazing, I adore her acoustic of this song, and just heart that it was remixed in a good way not an annoying rappy rap way. This was tolerable rap!

6. Blink 182, Aliens Exist

In honor that I'm going to their concert in less than a month... my personal favorite Blink song.

7. Coconut Records, The Summer

There is something oddly attractive about Jason Schwartzman, I don't know what it is. While I figure that out, his band makes good music. Check them out. Really chill, great for listening on the beach or surfing or at the lake, something along those lines.

8. The Fray, Heartless Cover
I shall be going to their concert this Saturday. I'm not the biggest fan, but I do really like some of their stuff. I just don't turn down the opportunity for friends drinks and music! Great cover!

So there you have it, this week's top 8!

Gone For a Second a Second, Now I'm Back Again

So I had a few days off from blogging, but don't worry I haven't left. It was Father's Day weekend, Happy Belated to all the Father's out there, and I was quite busy with gorgeous weather! I know I always have Jameson with me, but the perfectionist, and the visual person that I am, I feel like I need to always include pictures. I'm trying to get over that, this is my attempt. I'm at the golfing range with my sister and seeing as how I don't golf, I'm just out enjoying the sun. Any chance I can get! I feel like I had so much to say about things or thoughts from the past few days, but I'm totally drawing a blank. Hmmmmm. I suck. Father's Day was good. We got my dad a book, some wine, and a few cigars. Woooo hooo! We went over to my aunts, grilled out, then my feet freakishly swelled up. They blew up like balloons. Funny thing is, I'm not allergic to anything. I didn't eat anything weird either. In fact we hadn't even ate dinner when they blew up. So then I spent half the evening with my feet up icing them. Then rolled in the drama. My cousin, who at 30 decided she was a lesbian, just broke up with her first serious girlfriend, over something quite frankly dumb. And I had my best friend blowing up my phone about the fight she got into with a guy she likes. I was like Dear Abby giving out advice left and right. (Okay I don't even think I know who Dear Abby is, but I feel like she gave out advice). My cousin was being immature, and my friend, well she was kind of growing up. Its like for the first time she realized her usual antics aren't going to get her very far in life. That there doesn't always have to be drama. I'm proud of her, even if she doesn't realize it. For my cousin I saw her again today and she and her girlfriend are talking and working it out. So I feel like it was a job well done. As for my feet they are alive and well and normal sized. Omg that's the other thing, my feet. So I went for one of my nightly runs and stepped into a pot hole type thing, when I did it, it was like slo-mo turned on and I had enough time to think to myself, oh crap here we go I'm going down and then pondering how I was going to cover up scrapes on my legs. But alas, nothing happened. I was like sweet. I continued to keep going, I had 3 more miles left, and there was no pain. The next day I didn't feel anything, but I was confined to the house to wait for plumbers and people to put new counters in the kitchen, so I didn't move around a lot. Well I went to go for another run when the were done and made it about a block because I was experiencing shooting pain in my foot. Well. I decided I'd at least walk if I didn't feel pain (something I'd tell my patients as well), well I didn't, I walked for 3 miles only. Went inside fine. Well I could barely walk for the next 2 days. Putting pressure resulted in shooting pain up my leg and me almost falling over. It was great. I hate being immobile. I've decided I have a stress fracture. I firmly disagree in no pain no gain, your body is telling you something is wrong. So I've stayed off of it, and swam the past 2 days. I'm not feeling any pain, so I'm gonna try running again tonight. Cross your fingers. Okay she's out of balls time to go! More later, it is tuesday's tunes day... Don't worry I haven't forgotten.

Sunshine and smiles.

Shoe Lovers!!!!!

Okay after some depressing news about Cristiano, I did just discover, via Twitter on Trending Topics, that H&M and Jimmy Choo are pairing up to create a line! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! That is going to be utterly amazing for those of us... let me rephrase, the majority of us that can not afford Jimmy Choos, but absolutely love then nonetheless. AHHHH! Here is a preview...These are two of the shoes that have been created, LOVE LOVE, and a few other pictures and a short article can be found here==> Jimmy Choo Next Up For H&M Collab

Happy Feet.

A Tragedy Is About to Happen...

There is a little rumor floating about that may create a global tragedy. Pictures have surfaced of... sit down please it might be too much for you... Cristiano Ronaldo and PARIS HILTON. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EW SICK YUCK! PARIS HILTON?! God's greatest gift to us, and he choses PARIS?! Okay maybe not God's greatest gift, oxygen and water may come before him. But has there ever been such a beautiful creature, if I was a man, I'd have a man crush on him and go gay for him. He is so gorgeous, sometimes it hurts. But he loses so many points for even having a rumor that he is dating Paris Hilton. Ew. Come on. I had my Paris Hilton phase, where I loved her. I'm not going to deny it. But I never loved her enough to date someone the likes of Cristiano. COME ON. I'm also not gonna lie, I saw "the tape", you know One Night IN Paris. I saw it, there was nothing good about it. It didn't even look fun, for her or for him. So why, WHY on earth would he want to give that a go. Because that would be the only acceptable reason for him to be linked to her, a quick romp, then done. He can literally have whoever he wants... ohhhh what is this world coming to?!

Seriously.... he is perfect.

I'm going to go put on black, I am in mourning.

Tuesday's Tunes

Okay Okay so I know, super cheesy name, but I wanted to start something that I can repeat on my blog, a little order if you will. Music being such a huge part in my life, I figured I can share the songs in my head, thats what you hear playing when you load my blog. If you don't like, either skip or turn it off, its up to you! Anywho, each week on Tuesday, because that is when I started this, I'll feature new songs that I have in my playlist. My INTENTION was to put 10 songs on the playlist, but since the site is malfunctioning and only allowing 8, I've decided there will be 8 new songs. Kind of ironic, 8 is my lucky number, and my soon to be newest tattoo, so there we have it. They may not be new to the world, but new to my blog. It'll be a mix of genres, new and old, stuff that just makes me laugh, something from my childhood, you name it, I'm sure I'll play it. So here we go, this weeks top 8...

1. Ryan Adams, Wonderwall
Omg! I absolutely ADORE this cover. I will be honest, I first heard of it on an episode of Brother's and Sisters (which I have affectionately nick-named Bro's and Hoe's). And the instant I heard it, I jumped on the computer and searched until I found who sang it. I love when people put their own spin on a good song. I love the original, and I LOVE this version.

2. Lily Allen, The Fear
I've had this song on my page for a few days now. I just really like this song, I don't typically listen to the lyrics of a song until I've already liked it for awhile. I'm a singer, so you think I would. But I have to like the music before I like what they are saying. But this song, I listened to it right from the start. And I really feel it. I too want to be rich and I want lots of money.... hehehe!

3. Dean Martin, Mambo Italiano

My favorite cooking song! hehehehee! I looooove old music, Frank, dean, Billie, I could be a happy girl listening to their classics for ever! This is just a fun song, that the fam loves!

4. Vampire Weekend, I Stand Corrected

I am utterly obsessed with Vampire Weekend. I love them. LOVE LOVE them. This is definantly one of my current obsession songs (not to mention bands), I'll listen to it on repeat for hours. I just love these little Columbia boys. If you haven't heard of them, by now everyone should, seriously check them out.

5. M.I.A., Paper Planes,

Okay so I realize this song is kind of outdated. But as I've mentioned before I like to pat myself on the back for being into something before it became popular. M.I.A is definantly one of those things. Listened to her LONG before she was being written about in Rolling Stones. But this remix, who I honestly forget who
did it, I LOVE. Its from the Slumdog soundtrack.

6. Rush, Tom Sawyer,

Hahahahahahahaa. This song just makes me laugh. Its my family's we are going to be mean to the next victim to sing on Rock Band song. Hehehehe, we made my mom do it once and her voice was just ridiculous. And for some odd reason my aunt LOVES singing it. And then I Love You Man had to go and put it in their movie.... hahahaha, greatness. Hahahaha! Its long, so skip ahead please!

7. The Shins, Caring is Creepy

Great band, great song. I've been in a chill mood lately, and I keep playin The Shins on my ipod. My favorite part is when the song gets all trippy, and goes All these squawking birds won't quit. Gets me everytime.

8. Modest Mouse, Paper Thin Walls

I've hit a Modest Mouse phase in my life, listen to them constantly. This song just makes me happy. hehehehe!

And there you have it this week's Top 8! Enjoy!

Keep those toes tappin.

Bath Time!!!!

Me and my Cheify decided it was bath time. He was up north all weekend swimming, and got tree sap on him, and smelled a little. He was more than due for someone outdoor squirtin' down. So I spent the afternoon, giving him a bath and then sitting outside so he could dry off, or "tan" as he likes to call it. He is getting really light from all his time spent in the sun! Then I laid in the grass with him, but then he got all riled up and wanted to play and resulted in me being attacked with kisse. Its a bad pic, but you can see the big pink tongue trying to attack Jameson!!!!! AHHH! hehehehehee. He's such a lovebug, always trying to give kisses! I love my Cheif! He is the best puppy ever!!!!!

Big Wet Sloppy Kisses.
